Q: Is coaching the same as consulting?

No. They are actually quite different. A consultant usually has a very specific area of expertise. They analyze an aspect of your business; determine what they think you should do; and create a report. The Business Coach looks at all areas of your business; helps you prioritize and determine the best course of action; and then provides ongoing support and guidance to help you reach your defined goals.

Q: I’m confused about the term “coach.” There seems to be a wide variety of coaching services.

There certainly are! You can find life coaches, executive coaches, career coaches, health coaches, personal coaches, sales coaches, transition coaches, leadership coaches, even ADD coaches. Targeted Business Solutions is exclusively committed to business coaching. Our slogan, “business coaching for tangible results” says it all. We recognize that small business owners want results…tangible business results.

Q: What types of businesses does Targeted Business Solutions support?

The foundation blocks of most businesses are remarkably alike. Targeted Business Solutions maintains a large library of specialized business tools to assist and support business owners in all business arenas. Utilizing these specialized tools, the real-world business experience of the licensed coach combines with the industry specific knowledge of the client to create a dynamic force for change.

Q: What determines if business coaching is right for my company?

The client/coach relationship is very unique. It must be embraced by both parties or it will have value to neither. This question can only be truly answered after personal, one-on-one discussions between the business owner and the business coach. However, there are a few critical factors that you should consider. (1) Can my company strategically grow in sufficient time to justify the investment? (2) Am I open to change and the commitment that lasting change requires? (3) Am I personally comfortable with that specific business coach?

Q: How much does business coaching cost?

The cost of business coaching should be viewed as an investment rather than an expense. Also, Targeted Business Solutions recognizes that most businesses do not have budget dollars set aside for business coaching per se. However, as a business owner you have a right to expect a Return on your Investment in coaching services. Consequently, Targeted Business Solutions will not establish a coaching relationship with any company unless both parties can envision a second year, pre-tax return of at least three times the coaching investment.

Q: Am I financially committed to a long-term contract?

The spirit of the coaching agreement is to work together for a minimum twelve-month period. Change is a process…not an event. However, if it becomes apparent that, for whatever reason, satisfactory results are not possible, either party can terminate the agreement.

Q: How does the coaching process begin?

First, it begins when a business owner recognizes that changes in his business are needed and understands that positive and lasting changes do not happen without focus and commitment. The rest is easy! Contact Targeted Business Solutions for a no obligation business coaching assessment. Taking action feels good!
